HTML dfn tag

Description:

The <dfn> tag is a phrase tag. It defines a definition term.

The HTML dfn tag contains a term which is described by the paragraph where it is placed. It is useful to markup a term in its own description.

Browsers may render the text inside this element differently, usually in italic font.

Tip: This tag is not deprecated, but it is possible to achieve richer effect with CSS.
